Mavericks Bead North_AmericaMavericks is located in North California about 2 miles off shore from Pillar Point harbour. This is a winter destination spot with Pacific Ocean storms producing waves over 25ft. These huge waves are break over shallow rock formations on the sea bed with only a few brave enough to risk its biggest days! We wanted the Mavericks bead to capture the size of the enormous waves that break here along with the intense atmosphere. We felt that a gravity bead

We are surrounded by an incredible coastline and wanted to represent it on a piece of jewellery showing the shape of the land meeting the sea

There is plenty to explore in this little town but our favourite has got to be the worlds oldest water-balanced cliff tramway which links the town to the pier below

these were taken from the architecture and intricate decoration of Moroccan buildings

Greys and Ambers

The bead is then decorated in a pattern of ivory and turquoise glass representing Godrevy Island and the surrounding rocks

We chose this bold orange glass for Burleigh Heads decorated with blue wave petals rolling in over white sands

Bondi can get big but mostly it’s just right

We have also added some gold to give it some extra sparkle

There are 5 inhabited islands these are St Mary’s

Barricane is quite an exposed beach break that has good surf most of the year
