Woven copper wire egg basket green and orange FloralWoven copper wire, semi precious stones and beads are used in Marie's pieces. Beads are sorted into the order they will be woven through the piece and then threaded, one by one, onto a spool of copper wire. Some pieces have hundreds of beads threaded! Heavier copper wire is used for the structure of the piece. Once the weaving is finished, the structural pieces are trimmed, hammered and curled. The process involves only hand tools in the construction,
