Chateau Vieux Clos St Emilion Vintage 2011 VINTAGE WINES 2007A small, 6 hectare, vineyard located in the Saint Emilion Crus on the right bank of the Gironde river. Manual harvest and careful whole cluster selection all helping to bring a complex, fruit forward wine. A challenging vintage which showed the skill of the winemakers. Some good wines were made. Typical blend, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Malbec. 75cl bottle Abv 13% Bottle condition, capsule good, label good, wine level in neck 22 10 2021 92 Points Nose:

Finish features the typical and pleasing baking spice and pepper flavors of a Rhone grenache

but historically it probably has a better reputation amongst its piers

A lovely example of wine from the Vinsobres a Cotes Du Rhone cru

although the Tubbs family continued to grow and sell grapes

and also a small amount (3 percent of vines) of Carmenere
