Expanded PTFE Gasket - Pliable material with high heat and chemical resistance goldPTFE (Teflon) is expanded to create a fibrous internal structure that makes it soft and pliable. Expanded PTFE will conform easily to uneven or rough surfaces, but it has low creep (aka cold flow) under pressure. PTFE is highly chemical resistant and can withstand temperatures from 240C up to +270C (and up to 315C for short periods).
